Your Facts for Drivers 2008 driver’s edition and Championship Driver Shoulder Patch will be mailed after entry forms and entry fee are received. Entries received by mail after May 4th can pick up their Facts for Driver edition and Shoulder patch in person by contacting Marilyn Caliman. Entries in person will be taken up to day of event.
2008 DFW Truck Driving Championships SPONSORSHIP Opportunity
The Dallas Fort Worth Council of Safety Professionals is a non profit organization. Our membership includes many transportation companies and other related companies.
Every year we organize and operate the Regional Truck Driving Championship. This is sanctioned under the auspices of the Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA).
Our Regional Truck Driving Championship averages 100 participants in eight driving classes. The driving championship is open to everyone with a commercial driver's license (CDL). They are judged on their knowledge of the industry, pre-trip inspection abilities, personal interviews, and driving ability. Their driving ability is judged through an obstacle course comprised of six areas of difficulty, also known as "problems". The Texas Department of Public Safety provides their Troopers as Judges.
We are requesting corporate sponsors to help defray the cost of this year's event. Any amount will be acknowledged and appreciated.
You can sponsor one or more of the problem areas, pre-trip inspection station, interview area or written test area for $100 per area. You or your company's name will appear on a sign at the site you select and will also appear on our list of sponsor's banner.
