2011 DFW Truck Driving Championships Sponsorship Opportunity

The Dallas Fort Worth Council of Safety Professionals is a non profit organization. Our membership includes many transportation companies and other related companies.

Every year we organize and operate the Regional Truck Driving Championship. This is sanctioned under the auspices of the Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA).

Our Regional Truck Driving Championship averages 100 participants with nine classes of trucks and this year the "Step Van" class has been added. The driving championship is open to everyone with a commercial driver's license (CDL). They are judged on their knowledge of the industry, pre-trip inspection abilitie, and driving ability. Their driving ability is judged through an obstacle course comprised of six areas of difficulty, also known as "problems". The Texas Department of Public Safety provides their Troopers as Judges.

We are also requesting corporate sponsors to help defray the cost of this year's event. Any amount will be acknowledged and appreciated.

You can sponsor one or more of the driving problem areas, pre-trip inspection station, or written test area for $100 per area. You or your company's name will appear on a sign at the site you select and will also appear on our list of sponsors banner.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Terry Bitner at (817)-385-2729, (817)-233-6189 t.bitner1@gwccnet.com
